I was recently asked what my favorite thing about Chattanooga is and immediately thought, “That’s a tough question.” After thinking for bit, I realized it was all the beautiful locations Chattanooga has to offer, from mountain views to a scenic city front, there are so many Chattanooga photography session options. But, if I had to put a list of favorites together, this is my list:

Mountain Overlooks

Point Park - This beautiful park on Lookout Mountain is the best way to see all of Chattanooga in one spot. With scenic city and valley overlooks, this park is an excellent way to get views without the hike. It’s also one of the best spots in the city to watch the Sunset.

Sunset Rock - Known for it’s amazing sunset views on the edge of a cliff, this great spot is perfect for that couple who is up for a short hike and adventure.

Chilhowee Overlook - The Ocoee area, right outside of Chattanooga is full of natural beauty, but none more that this amazing overlook. With 360 views of the mountains, lakes, and river, this beautiful spot is perfect for a magical sunset. It’s a bit of a drive, but there is no hike involved.

Snooper’s Rock - This great mountain overlook is located in Prentice Cooper Nature Center, and features beautiful 360 views of the Tennessee River Valley and mountains. This spot is magical at sunrise, if you can brave the bumpy drive in the dark!

City Sights

Coolidge/Renaissance Park - From the North Shore side of the river, you can get all of Chattanooga’s skyline in one amazing image. From the iconic Walnut Street Bridge to the nature trails of Renaissance Park there is so much to offer on this side of the city. It’s also a beautiful spot to watch the sun rise and set.

Bluff View/Aquarium - The downtown side of the riverfront is just a beautiful. With the Hunter Museum overlook to Ross’s Landing, there is no shortage of beautiful views and interesting downtown elements.

Nature Parks

Reflection Riding Nature Center - One of Chattanooga’s hidden gems, this beautiful nature center has so much to offer. With mountain views, river access, a magical tree house, wildflowers, and a pond, there are plenty of pretty spots during any season.

Greenway Farms - This large park has a lot to offer as well. Featuring a rustic cabin, dock on the creek, and beautiful grass fields.

This list is just a few of the beautiful Engagement Session spots Chattanooga has to offer. I encourage every couple to make their engagement session all their own. Find places that are sentimental to you and your fiance and let’s build a session around it. The ultimate goal of the engagement session is to show your love in a natural way, so pick a place that you will be comfortable just being yourself.
