How long does a newborn session last?
Newborn sessions are intentionally unrushed and typically last several hours. This allows time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and breaks as needed so your baby remains comfortable throughout the session.
What should parents wear for the session?
We provide styling guidance before your session to help you choose neutral, timeless clothing that photographs beautifully. Our goal is a cohesive, elevated look that keeps the focus on connection and emotion rather than trends.
Do you offer hair and makeup for every newborn session?
Yes. Professional hair and makeup for mom is included as part of our newborn experience, allowing you to relax and feel confident without additional planning.
Is lunch really included during the session?
Yes. A catered lunch is provided during your time in the studio so you can rest and refuel while we care for your baby. This is one of the ways we support parents during the postpartum period.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
We schedule newborn sessions with flexibility in mind. Your session is reserved based on your due date, and once your baby arrives, we’ll finalize the exact session date to ensure optimal timing.
Can we bring sentimental items or heirlooms?
Absolutely. If you have a special blanket, accessory, or meaningful item, we’re happy to thoughtfully incorporate it into your session in a way that feels timeless and cohesive.
What if my baby doesn’t sleep during the session?
Every baby is different, and that’s perfectly okay. Our experience and baby-led approach allow us to adapt naturally, creating beautiful images whether your baby is sleepy, awake, or somewhere in between.
Is your studio safe for newborns?
Yes. Safety is our highest priority. Our studio follows a gentle, safety-first approach with experienced newborn photographers, proper posing techniques, and a calm, controlled environment designed specifically for newborn comfort.
Do you offer digital images as well as printed artwork?
Yes. After your session, you’ll choose from a curated selection of digital images and heirloom artwork during your guided image reveal. We help you select what best fits your family and your home.
How far in advance should we reserve our session?
Because we accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month, we recommend booking during pregnancy to ensure availability.
Can grandparents be included in the session?
Sure! We love to incorporate any special family members into this special moment in time.
