Best Proposal Locations in Chattanooga

It’s one of my favorite questions to ask when I meet with an engaged couple in the studio, “How did you propose.” I love a good love story, so naturally it’s one of my favorite parts of the conversation. Some are sweet & sentimental, and some are grand and elaborate with months of planning, but they all have one thing in common….they are perfect, because she said YES! 

No matter where you decide to propose it will be special, because you are committing to another person for the rest of your life. But if you are looking for ideas where to propose, we have made a list of our favorite proposal spots in Chattanooga, TN:

2.) Sunset Rock - 360 degree views and a semi-short hike, makes this a popular spot for a scenic proposal. 

3.) Point Park - scenic views with no hiking and some of the best views of Chattanooga. There is an entrance fee, but what’s $20 when you’re talking about forever right?

4.) Walnut Street Bridge - this iconic Chattanooga landmark has seen many proposals, and for good reason. It boasts some of the most beautiful views of the city and is the gem of the city! 

5.) Snooper’s Rock - Located in Prentice Cooper State Forest, this location is a bit of a drive, but the short hike and views are worth every minute. This location is often a lot more crowded than the other scenic overlooks also. For a really special treat, visit this location at sunrise for the most beautiful sunrise location.

6.) Signal Point - A short drive and hike, makes this a beautiful spot for a proposal. Feel adventurous? Hike down the trail for an amazing view from a large rock about halfway down the mountain. 

7.) Chilhowee Overlook - A small drive outside of Chattanooga to the Ocoee river area, offers a scenic and mostly private spot. With 3 differently overlook options, there are plenty of options for a picture-perfect sunset proposal.
