When to book your maternity session:
I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28-36 weeks. This is the time you are showing but are not yet in the last few uncomfortable weeks of your pregnancy. This also gives us time to reschedule if we have rainy weather.
The Process:
When you close your eyes, what do you see for your Chattanooga maternity photography session? Are you envisioning a beautiful open field of flowers? Green grass and trees? Elegant architecture? A mountaintop vista? Intimate studio session with A/C? We will discuss a what type of session you are looking for and different locations that we can go to. Most sessions are offered outdoors about an hour before sunset so we can capture that beautiful golden light. Spouses/partners and children are always encouraged to participate at no additional cost.
I also offer studio sessions for those who are looking for a more intimate feel. I have a full-service photography studio in downtown Chattanooga that is perfect for maternity studio sessions and newborn sessions! I photograph women of every shape, size, color, etc. so if you want to rock your gorgeous baby bump, lets go for it!
What to Wear:
Most of my expectant mamas choose to wear soft neutral/pastel dresses although a few have rocked some gorgeous, vibrant colors as well! We offer a maternity client closet of gowns you are welcome to use for your session. I can also provide a link to recommendations for maternity gown rentals and purchases.
I always suggest that on the day of your maternity photo session you pamper yourself! Get a maternity massage. Get your nails, hair, and make-up done so you feel your best. You deserve it! We even have an in-studio hair and make-up artist available to enchance your natural beauty and pregancy glow.
Newborn Photography Sessions
Your comfort and your baby’s safety are our top priority, so you can sit back and relax, knowing your baby is in trusted (and newborn saftey-trained) hands. Whether you envision a snuggly lifestyle session or styled session involving your baby’s nursery theme or your personal interests, we thrive on bringing your dream session to life.
Don’t have anything to bring? Don’t worry, we have that covered too, have a studio full of props, wraps, outfits, and headbands. All at your disposal to incorporate into your session. Your sleep-deprived brain won't have to remember a thing ;)
