The Historic Venue and Unique Accessories, Make This Wedding a Chic Southern Dream

While Brooke and Sam had a beautiful wedding, they also have a truly intriguing love story. They first met while teaching at a boarding school in London, and finding that they both were from the U.S. and enjoyed similar hobbies, they became fast friends, and a cute couple later. After Sam decided to go forward with a surprise proposal, he enlisted a good friend of Brooke's to help him pull off this darling scheme. Brooke unknowingly headed off with her friends to what she thought was a girls weekend getaway in Belgium. However, after a surprise letter Brooke received from Sam, with instructions to meet him at a specific location, she received the question of a lifetime!

The historic Baylor School located beside the winding Tennessee River in Chattanooga provided the perfect southern venue for this stylish wedding. With the expert help of Miranda Holloway from Lavender & Lace Events, Southern Living Magazine's top wedding planner, every detail of this special day was refined into perfection. While the wedding was a completely splendid affair, we cannot forget about the reception! The couple hired Irish dancers to entertain the guests during dinner. And to top it all off, the bride surprised everybody (including the groom) by changing into a comfy dress with some sparkly Kate Spade tennis shoes, and cutting a rug with her highly skilled Irish dance moves! Can you imagine how surprised the groom was?
